There was an episode of _I Love Lucy_ where Lucy and Ethel were vacuum
salesmen.  The first thing Lucy would do when somebody opened the door
was throw a chunk of dirt on their floor, and then they'd have to 
demonstrate the vacuum.  Of course one woman didn't have an electric
outlet near the door....
