[TAG] encryption kills my connection in linux but wo

Yes, my landlord will only use his wifi setup with encryption.  I used the 
setup from the netgear installation cd

It works on his win2000 laptop. and on my win98 setup and I entered the 
same 
settings ie ssid, channel, 128 byte encryption signature in my linux setup 
but it will not complete the connection.

I am totally confused by the inability to get the connection working in 
linux.  :-(
