[Not for publication.]

Ben called me this afternoon and asked if I can do the September issue.
How do TAG and News Bytes look for an August 31 publishing date?

I haven't been following the mailing lists so I don't know if anything's
changed at LG. Ben said he added a couple little scripts to the build
process. I haven't gotten any Lgang mail for a while, and the message
I sent to Lgang this afternoon hasn't shown up anywhere, so I'm not sure
if something's up with that.

I just started my new job at NOAA; it's a one-year contract. I'm doing
web development. I'm pushing for Python/Webware but may have to do PHP.
At least they aren't saying "Microsoft" or "Java". It'll be a MySQL
application built on Linux but deployed on Mac OS X. Their choice, not
mine. :)

I installed Gentoo on a couple machines at work, so I may write a little
article about that.
