I never advocate changing the Subject: line on an existing thread.
I was talking about choosing subjects for new threads.  If it's a 
tech-support question or tip, think carefully about the subject because
readers will laugh at you otherwise.  If it's just a comment to the
editorslike "this link is broken", the subject isn't critical because the
thread won't be published.
