I'm still missing your point. It's a 10-second change, flipping an
option in the BIOS and checking the result. "diminishing cost/benefit"?
Where's the cost?

What hackery? If this required a walking pilgrimage to Katmandu,
learning to do backflips with a half-twist, and the ability to mentally
calculate the volumes of Klein bottles on sight, I'd be able to
understand your complaint. But flipping *one* option?
