I talked to Kayos. He said he restarted the webserver last night and
that cleared it up. He's restarted it again, and will look tonight to
see if there's anything else strange like an overload. He said a
similar problem happened quite a while ago but he can't remember what
the fix was.

He'll also look into our Subversion situation, maybe tonight.
Currently, Ben can read/write the repository but I can't. I have an
older client so it could be something with that, except it's been working
flawlessly until last night. But I also can't run the recover program
on the server, even though I could early last night and Ben can.

[sluggo at genetikayos bin]$ cd /var/svn/linuxgazette.net
[sluggo at genetikayos linuxgazette.net]$ ls
dav db format hooks locks README.txt
[sluggo at genetikayos linuxgazette.net]$ svnadmin recover
+/var/svn/linuxgazette.net/
Acquiring exclusive lock on repository db.
Recovery is running, please stand by...svn: Berkeley DB error
svn: DB_RUNRECOVERY: Fatal error, run database recovery
[sluggo at genetikayos linuxgazette.net]$

Nice of it to tell me to run database recovery... which is what I'm
trying to run.

I can't believe everything fell apart on the last day, but it's an LG
tradition. And it's been so smooth the past couple months. Poor Ben!
His first time being Editor, and all this stuff happens, plus issue 100
problems. Going from 2-digit issues to 3-digit raised a number of
latent errors that hadn't been triggered before. And now the issue
is done but nobody can get to the website. Sigh.
