Hey, Chris!
(BTW, I'm going to be in Chi-town this coming week, teaching a class. If
you've got time to meet up for a beer or dinner, I'm at 443-250-7895.)

Damn! I just grepped /usr/src/linux/Documentation/CREDITS for a .in
email address and didn't find one; otherwise, I'd have had an awful pun
to spring on you... CTTOI, I have. At least for those who can read
between the lines. :)

Actually, we've had that discussion in here, in regard to module
compiling - if I recall correctly (and I probably don't), it was Kapil
who gave us the straight and skinny on it. You can't really hurt
anything by trying it, anyway. If the module doesn't require some
sort of an additional hook in the kernel itself, then you just issue
your "make" ("all" isn't usually necessary, since it's normally the
default target - or there may be a different default target that should
be run) and get on with life.

We should not be crippled by the knowledge that no one of us can know
what all of us together know.

Welcome to TAG, Chris. :)

Cripes, you sound like _me._ This is NOT a compliment, mind you. :)
