"somewhere"? And what is the truck driver's name? By your own standards,
that sentence probably dispatched at *least* two kittens.  However, if
it makes you feel any better, they might not have been cute.  Or perhaps
they were. If we could *observe* them being run over, the possible
states would collapse to one. (Curiosity *may* have killed Schrodinger's
cat.) Of course, since we're looking at them being run over by a Mack
truck, this may bias the results slightly towards the "non-cute" side.
We'll have to take that into account.
