I was obviously imprecise in my statement. What I meant was that you
can't get the kind of reliability and performance in a laptop Ethernet
chipset that you can get from a PCI card, which has has much better
cooling (airflow and thermal mass count for a lot.) Although I'd
certainly pick the eepro100 chipset over a number of others even so.
