[TAG] media buttons

 hello,

i am useing Ubuntu "breezy" on a  Toshiba satelite M35x-S149 lappy. i am trying to get the media buttons to work. i have read 2 tuts but still with no luck here are links to the 2 tuts i read

im useing Gnome 

on the first tut i tried to press the button in a term and nothing happend.  useing dmesg and xev


i get no response from the keys... i have also tried changeing the keyboard in the prefs.. option tab with no luck. 

i also went to this web page and look at this

but my keyboard isnt supported
