It's a pity their Google Earth program is Windows only (works with
Wine, though). NASA have an open source equivalent that now also shows
the moon (http://www.nasa.gov/centers/ames/news/releases/2005/05_56AR.html).
Also Windows only, but Linux support is in the pipeline:

(There's a 2D-only port available though. I'll send on the link
