Martin.  For the love of all things Holy -- can you be any _less_
specific?  What is it about the 'ls' command that isn't working?  Are
you even *in* a Unix environment?  I note that you sent this using Lotus
notes -- which is a shite shite shite mail client.

Do you get any errors in running the 'ls' command?  What about any
output?  What is it about the 'ls' command that isn't working -- perhaps
more importantly what is it doing, and what is it *you* expect it to do?
I suspect the answers to those questions will differ quite widely.
