[TAG] Need help with a from a Gentoo guru

Hi all,
I know there are a few Gentoo gurus here,
I'm trying to install from stage one, trouble is I couldn't finish it in
all one go.  I got up to this stage

7.c. Default: Manual Configuration

My question is this, what previous steps to i need to perform from the
live CD.
