Slight correction, at least from my perspective: I'd like to get *TAG's*
input on it. Readers, well... there's no way to get a reasonable-sized
sample, so any input from readers is likely to be a) arbitrarily
one-sided and b) non-representative except by far-fetched accident. So,
while I think that it would be kinda nice to have a finger on the
readers' pulse, I don't think that there's any obvious mechanism by
which we can do that (at least, not without changing the structure of
LG) - and trying to act as though we do have such a metric benefits no
one.
I also consider the people who contribute their effort here as having
earned the right to have a say in the operation of LG - while those who
haven't, don't. That may be blunt, but that's how I see it.
