[TAG] NFS file locking? -- partly solved

Hi,


stopping the nfs-common, nfs-kernel-server, portmap, stopping all client
access and restarting with portmap first seems to activate proper file
locking again. So on the server a reboot finally got everything running
again. 

Still -- if nfs  or portmapper gets restarted (which might be caused by
an overeager monit daemon) the locking seems to be broken again. 

A rather intensive google search showed up plenty of old entries
decribing rpc.lockd -- but almost nothing on the newer nfs-kernel
implementation.  

Is that working all the time everywhere? Also trouble with file locking?
Or are you just rebooting everytime?
