If the keyboard is its own hub -- the usb tree hirarchy should be quite
able to mirror the physical proximity. I've not read the beginning of
this thread -- but I can imagine a setup with two heads and two
keyboards where "usb speakers" are dedicated to sound produced on one of
the heads.
Just don't expect a standard distribution to do this for you -- this is
manual configuration and it can not be saved in the users settings (like
kde) if the users could be on either head.... pam extensions like group
setting on login for devices like audio might be able help with the setup.
