Rick
I am leaving the stuff out of your message because it is so late and I
am beat. I am still in a lot of pain from my bicycle crash.
But you are kind to help me, as little as I know.
It is hard to believe that I have been using email since the early days
of Compu-Serve.
I think as early as 1979.
I never had a bounce until this started, so I am getting an awful lot of
education all at one time.
As long as it works, who notices?
Pretty hard to absorb along with all of the mutt stuff, new to linux
(April), etc.
A little bit much.
I just changed .muttrc to another server, a new one. Lets see what that
looks like.
I wanted to keep cognisurf and this new one and drop attglobal because
they are too costly for what I get out of them, but if cognisurf is that
bad, I will go somewhere else.
In the meantime, I will have to study what Ben sent to me and see what I
do to straighten my mess out.
As for the postmaster thing. That is funnier than you think.
When spam first got to be a thing, I got mad and sent a copy of every
single one of them to my ISP's as well as the offender. After all, that
is what the experts suggested.
You know what happened. Spam increased. All I did was let them know I
was there.
And I quit emailing postmasters. So I had no idea they all died.
So I got smarter and in W2K, I had filters and scripts that totally
stopped spam.
But you have no idea, after only 90 days or so, how I hate to boot W2K.
I have to because my accounting system is not linux friendly.
Anyway, enough for tonight.
You guys have given me a lot to work on tomorrow and I am totally lost
at this point.
