Well. I noticed that you had compiled in the kernel NFS daemon.
So I assumed that you were using the kernel NFS daemon rather
than the user-space one.

Does your problem persist when you use the user-space daemon?

The reason I ask is that it may be the kernel NFS daemon that is
leading to too many indirections for the kernel stack to handle.
