Hello,

The discussion on pretty-printing of files naturally led to the
discussion in the Unix-Hater's book (UHB) on how curses and terminfo
are "twisted" technologies. According to the UHB the "right" way
is that files should not be "streams of bytes" but should be
"objects" which should (in particular) encode all pretty-printing
information.

Interesting ... wonder if there is an implementation.
