Puppy Linux is a Live CD. I want ext2 linux, to which I can add programs.
DSL is Debian based and much larger than what I am using and would be
slower to boot and require newer hardware. I don't want to learn it.
It has a lot of stuff that people have not asked for, and not Opera which
they have asked for (after using it in Windows). If people later want to
do more than browsing/email/wordprocessing they can get themselves a copy
of DSL and try it.
I prefer to try to make what I have work. I know how to use it and can
support it. Is there anything I would have to do other than get things
working for 'user'? If it is okay to dial as root then use a browser as
user, I am almost set.
Thanks for your suggestions. I will look at the URLs.
