Bloggers are great -- on their blogs.  Their focus on their blogs keeps
self-indulgent and inarticulate meanderings off public forums.

A lot of us worked long and hard to ensure that anyone could gain the
ability to publish.  It was easy to forget that most people have little
to say that's of any conceivable interest, but blogs ensure that they
have an outlet for expression that doesn't have to bother the rest of
us.
