You shuld be able to use Gradint as well if you
can find someone to record the words and
phrases for you.  Unfortunately there doesn't
seem to be a free Japanese speech synthesizer
yet, although we could put together a simple
one by concatenation, if we can find a set of
good-quality GPL'd recordings of all possible
Japanese syllables (including the ones made
from more than one kana), spoken at a
reasonable speaking pace (not drawn out
artificially), all of similar length, and
ideally all the same pitch (although Praat can
compensate for that if necessary).  But I don't
know where to get that from; all the Japanese
people I know are too nervous to do such a thing.
