Quoting owner-secretary at dcs.kcl.ac.uk (owner-secretary at dcs.kcl.ac.uk):

In case you're wondering, "secretary at dcs.kcl.ac.uk" is _not_ subscribed to
this mailing list (tag at lists.linuxgazette.net). In fact:

# /usr/lib/mailman/bin/list_members tag | grep kcl.ac.uk
[returns null]

...it appears that nobody from that domain is subscribed at all. So,
I've ended up having to blacklist the entire King's College London,
Department of Computer Science mail system, out of self-defence, in
response to their machine irresponsibly spewing garbage onto _Linux
Gazette's_ mailing lists -- probably reacting in error to forged spam
mail.

I really regret the need to do that, but it's a practical necessity,
otherwise "backscatter" would tend to overwhelm this mailing list.

Remember: We publish SPF reference records in our DNS specifically so
that remote sites such as Kings College London can detect forgeries and
_not_ generate backscatter when they receive spam forging our domain as
claimed sender. It's not a perfect solution, but it helps.
