Hi
First of all, I am not an expert and I've never had such weird issues with
my PCs. Don't know why. Although I *do* hear such stories from my friends
and family.
Not sure but this seems like a hardware problem (not a Linux problem). And I
would not call it a 'crash' :)
First thing I would do is remove the RAM(s) and then boot the PC... you
should hear multiple beeps.
Clean the slots and put them back on. Remove any extra PCI cards etc you can
to narrow the problem. Remove the 3V battery cell for ~15 minutes (all power
cords should also be disconnected) and then put it back on and turn on PC.
This should have reset BIOS settings.
Hmm what else... make sure the CPU fan is working...
Anyway, you could also call some friend who is good with computers to have a
look at it. :)
Good Luck!
